About Pan Pan

Pan Pan Production represents the often fairly urgent needs from our clients to make their own waves through loud, effective, clear communications.

"Pan-pan" is a radiotelephony signal suggesting urgency and that Possible Assistance may be Needed. Or, to Pay Attention Now! While these very well may be backronyms, they distinguish between the more familiar and much more imminent "mayday" call sign. "Pan-pan" is used in nautical and aerospace contexts internationally.

Founded in New Hampshire not far from several significant bodies of water like Lake Winnipesaukee and the Atlantic Ocean, our founder Eric Fleming has a passion for nautical adventures.

Our work is all over and largely in major media markets (New York, L.A., Miami). Eric has also worked client-side in Europe and Asia to expand distribution and introduce products to new markets.

About Eric

Headshot of Eric Fleming

For over 20 years Eric Fleming has been creating experiences and communications programs for brands and entertainment properties to garner attention and gain lift. He’s worked with some of the world’s most prestigious brands and has earned top advertising industry accolades along the way — 5x Clio, Cannes Lions, D&AD, 2x Adweek's Fastest Growing Agency, and more.

Most recently Eric was the cofounder of Makeout, a Brooklyn-based experiential agency, where he served as Executive Producer and COO overseeing agency ops and hundreds of projects. Today he's at the helm of Pan Pan Production — a marketing consultancy for creative productions without the flab nor fuss of a full blown agency.

Past clients include KFC, Lindt, JetBlue, Hermès, TIME, Yuga Labs, Pizza Hut, NY Knicks, eBay, Peacock, Syfy, Burger King, Sports Illustrated, Visit Utah, Visit Carlsbad, Sistas in Sales, Spotify, AES, and many more.

Eric is a graduate of Syracuse University where he earned a dual degree in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and marketing from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. In 2023, Eric was recognized as a ‘CUSE50 award recipient for leading a fast-growing alumni-led venture.

On the personal front
Eric is the proud captain of his Grady White boat, which he pilots to gather lobsters, sometimes land fish, and sightsee off of the coast near Portsmouth harbor. He's also crewed sailing adventures in the Mediterranean Sea and off-shore Eastern U.S. More often you'll find him with his family enjoying bluebird days on nearby Squam Lake, listening to the eerie calls of loons while dodging the granite rocks that lurk just beneath the surface.

His family is made up of fairly serious skiers — both alpine and nordic, uphill and down. During the winter months you can hear Eric ringing a cow bell at a ski race or chasing the few fresh tracks northeastern winters deliver these days. Our love for New Hampshire's natural beauty and adventure is strong — allowing for respite amid the turbulent tides of the modern advertising industry. A good hike in the Whites truly does wonders to refresh the soul.

Eric's free time (of which there is little) passion is traditional photography. He shoots on a large format 4x5 Intrepid view camera and medium format Yashica film camera. Looking ahead, Eric is refining his skills in fine carpentry and is interested in learning wet plate photography — a technique that's about 175 years old and remains a magical medium.
